Breaking the Cycle of Incarceration Through Faith and Family
Romney Ruder
For many incarcerated men and women, prison can feel like a place of deep brokenness. Separation from family, loss of identity, and generational patterns of incarceration often leave individuals feeling uncertain about the future. At Lifeline Global Ministries, we step into these spaces with a message of hope. Our mission is to restore families, strengthen faith, and equip parents to lead lives of purpose during incarceration and after release.
A Mission Rooted in Family Restoration
We believe strong families can change lives. Instead of focusing only on incarceration itself, we address the deeper issues that contribute to generational cycles of brokenness. By helping incarcerated parents grow spiritually and strengthen their relationships, we work to transform families from the inside out.
This transformation is not just about changing behavior. It is about changing hearts through faith, accountability, and responsibility. When parents are restored, families are strengthened and communities begin to heal.
Discipleship Programs That Build Lasting Change
We offer programs created specifically for incarcerated mothers and fathers who want to rebuild their lives and reconnect with their children.
Malachi Dads
helps incarcerated fathers grow in their faith and embrace their role as spiritual leaders for their children. Through biblical teaching, mentorship, and practical guidance, fathers learn how to lead with intention, integrity, and love.
Hannah’s Gift
provides a similar foundation for incarcerated mothers. This program supports women as they heal, grow spiritually, and rebuild relationships with their children. The focus is on forgiveness, personal responsibility, and the redemptive power of God.
Both programs aim for lasting transformation that reaches beyond the prison walls and into the lives of children and families at home.
Restoring Relationships Through Returning Hearts
Our Returning Hearts Celebration is one of the most impactful parts of our ministry. This special event brings incarcerated parents and their children together for a full day of connection, reconciliation, and renewed hope.
For many families, it is the first meaningful time together since incarceration began. The moments shared during this day often open the door to healing conversations and new beginnings.
Why This Work Matters
Children with incarcerated parents face greater risks of emotional trauma, poverty, and future involvement with the justice system. By equipping parents with spiritual tools and a renewed sense of purpose, we work to interrupt these patterns and create healthier futures for the next generation.
Breaking the cycle of incarceration requires more than reform. It requires restoration. Our ministry brings together spiritual growth, strong family relationships, and personal responsibility to create real and lasting change.
A Growing Impact
What began with a single prison invitation has grown into a ministry that reaches across the United States and around the world. Through partnerships with correctional facilities, churches, volunteers, and supporters, we continue expanding our reach and offering hope to more families each year.
Join Us in the Mission
Every restored family represents hope brought to life. We invite individuals, churches, and communities to join us through prayer, volunteering, financial support, and advocacy.
Together, we can lift up incarcerated parents, strengthen families, and help change the stories of future generations.
